Bally Sente was a pioneering arcade game company, formed in 1984 from the acquisition of Sente Technologies by Bally Manufacturing. They were known for their their innovative cartridge-based SAC-I hardware, which allowed arcade operators to easily swap games.
History
1982Videa was founded by ex-Atari employees Roger Hector, Howard Delman, and Ed Rotberg.
1983Nolan Bushnell acquired Videa, rebranded it as Sente, and made it a division of Pizza Time Theatre.
1984Bally Manufacturing purchased Sente for $3.9 million, renaming it Bally Sente.
1987Bally Sente ceased operations.
