3D Visualisation Aesthetics Lab (3DVAL) is a multi-disciplinary research lab at UNSW Sydney, focusing on arts-led and design-led modes of visualising complex scientific and biomedical data. The lab creates immersive platforms and experiences using 3D computer animation, data visualisation, and virtual reality.
History
2015Dr John McGhee introduces the 3D Visualisation Lab.
2016An interactive virtual reality cell environment, the first of its kind, is generated at the 3D Visualisation Aesthetics Lab.
2023The 3DXLab, an evolution of 3DVAL and EPICentre, is introduced at UNSW Sydney.
