Atari Corporation was an American manufacturer of home computers and video game consoles, founded by Jack Tramiel in 1984 after acquiring the consumer division of Atari, Inc. It was known for products like the Atari ST, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, and Atari Jaguar.

1984Jack Tramiel founded Tramel Technology, Ltd., which then acquired the consumer division of Atari, Inc. and was renamed Atari Corporation.
1985Released the Atari ST line of computers and the Atari XE series.
1996Merged with JTS Corp., and its assets were later acquired by Hasbro Interactive in 1998.
