BBC Soft was the British Broadcasting Corporation's internal software house, primarily responsible for publishing games and educational software for the BBC Microcomputer in the 1980s. While they released a limited number of games, these were generally considered above average.
History
1983The BBC began making its own games, primarily for the BBC Micro.
1986The BBC shifted from internal game development to licensing out its intellectual property.
1995BBC Multimedia was founded, focusing on CD-ROM software and later console games based on BBC television programmes.
