Greatest Nine '96
Greatest Nine '96 is a baseball game featuring featuring an NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) license and all twelve teams and all players from the Central and Pacific Leagues of Japanese baseball for the 1996 season, and the second game in the series after Kanzen Chūkei Pro Yakyū Greatest Nine. The game is once again presented in a realistic visual style using digitized photographs of the players. The major changes over the previous game are updated rosters for the new season, and the addition of licensed real-world stadiums instead of the fictional ones found in the first game. Game modes available are identical to the previous title: Exhibition, Pennant Race, Tournament, All-Star, and Home Run Contest, plus a full Team Edit mode and player database. A modified version featuring American MLB teams and players was released worldwide as World Series Baseball II.
