Shin Bakusou Dekotora Densetsu is a Racing game, developed and published by Spike, which was released in Japan in 2005. The Dekotora or Decotora, an abbreviation for "decoration truck", is a type of extravagantly decorated truck in Japan. Commonly displaying neon or ultraviolet lights, extravagant paints and stainless or golden exterior parts, on both on the exterior and the interior. Dekotora may be created by workers out of their work trucks for fun, or they may be designed by hobbyists for special events. They are sometimes also referred to as Art Trucks. In addition to all sorts of licensed parts and paints, many of which are just for show and don't affect the performance of your truck, Spike has licensed famous "Deko Trucks" for use in the game, giving you the chance to race against famous names from the trucking world. Seven modes of play feature in Shin Bakusou Dekotora Densetsu, including main trucking mode of play where you make deliveries throughout Japan, collecting money and upgrading your truck along the way -- starting with a simple truck, your goal is to become the number one trucker in Japan -- and a story mode featuring characters from the series so far, and including a few romantic entanglements.
