The Breach

As soon as the Hermes, a prototype dimension-crossing starship arrived at its destination's orbit, the mining colony of G-54, it went dead silent and ceased any form of communication. As the Chief Security Officer of G-54, it's Sergei's job to board the starship and investigate what happened. As he arrives on the ship, he finds that the ship's emergency protocols have activated and the air is contaminated. Not long after, access to his own ship is cut off as he falls into a pit. Sergei now finds himself confronting strange visions and the former crew-members as shambling zombies. The Breach is a 2D side-scrolling action game, heavily inspired by games such as Dead Space and the Metroid games. The player controls Chief Security Officer Sergei, as he navigates through the ship. Sergei can move, crouch, jump, and can only shoot straight forward. During the game, certain items can be found, such as keys giving access to other areas or items which upgrade Sergei's current equipment. With each kill, Sergei earns a certain amount of experience, leveling him up, with each level receiving a fixed amount of bonus to each of his stats, such as hit points, shield or rate of fire.
