Nancy Drew: The Deadly Device

The Deadly Device is the 27th game in the Nancy Drew series. You play as an amateur detective as she tries to solve the murder of a brilliant, reclusive physicist, Nico Jovic. Your investigation takes place at a remote laboratory location, and your suspects are four of Jovic's co-workers. The murder seems to have been motivated by a race among members of the group to cash in on Jovic's research into wireless energy transmission. The gameplay is very similar to that in other games in the series, with a lot of point-and-click exploring and interviewing of other characters. Your cell phone links you to familiar friends Frank and Joe Hardy, as well as to a hometown rival (Deirdre Shannon) and your employer (Victor Lossett), who may or may not also qualify as the fifth suspect. The ambiance of the game is enhanced by direct and subtle links to the real-life physicist, Nikola Tesla.
