Warlords

In the ancient kingdom of Nerd, during the time of Great Darkness, King Melvin has died without an heir. The kingdom has now fallen into the hands of four powerful warlords. The land has many wild regions including the Black Forest of Urm and the Swamp of Toxis Solanis. In the center of the land lies the highly coveted capital city Rascallion. Played on a 7 x 7 grid, each warlord has a castle in their respective corner of the screen. Each player attempts to destroy the competing factions. Players raise armies and taxes from their controlled regions, and can move one group of units per turn. When two opposing divisions occupy the same region, combat occurs, and one division is destroyed. Taxes raised that turn must be used to create armies at the home castle, but funds saved from previous turns can be used to raise an army anywhere on the map. Enemy warlords are destroyed by overtaking their castle.
