Virtual Pool

Virtual Pool is a 3D pool simulation that aims to teach and replicate the real game of billiards. It allows players to experience a full pool hall environment and practice cue-sport techniques in a realistic digital setting. The game is presented from a fully 3D first-person perspective, letting players move freely around the table, aim, and strike from any position. The control system allows precise adjustment of aim, power, spin, and cue elevation. Virtual Pool includes several modes such as 8-ball, 9-ball, straight pool, and rotation pool. A tutorial mode features professional player Lou Butera, who demonstrates shots and techniques. The physics engine accurately models ball collision, spin, and rebound behavior, intended to mimic real pool mechanics. Players can compete against computer-controlled opponents or other players through hot-seat and modem play. Matches take place in detailed pool-hall environments with realistic lighting and sound effects.
