Stubio Bside will stop providing new updates for its collectible urban fantasy RPG 'Counterside' on the 29th, and monthly product sales will also end.

Studio B Side PD Kim Hyun-soo shared the future operation of Counterside through a developer note today (24th). Counterside will end additional new updates with the final Awakened Employee update on April 29, and will switch to a rotation system that periodically reprints some content. Among paid products, monthly subscription products will also end after the update on the 29th, and if you purchase a monthly subscription, the remaining benefits will be paid in one lump sum.

Producer Kim Hyun-soo will also step down from his duties as Counterside PD at the end of April. Producer Kim Hyun-soo expressed his gratitude for the love from users and announced that the last new awakened employee will be given out for free rather than through a lottery. The employee can overcome the limit by earning duplicates through event missions and main story clear rewards.

Counterside is a collectible urban fantasy RPG released by Studio Bside through Nexon in February 2020. The story of the Management Bureau and other forces trying to save a world in danger of destruction due to the emergence of the underworld and the corrosive body was presented through unique gameplay with line defense. In the beginning, it faced difficulties due to somewhat uneven illustration quality, unintuitive story, and unorganized business model. However, the 2.0 update, which changed the BM and play routine itself, showed the potential of the scenario that had been built up so far, turning the tables.

Afterwards, the company converted to its own service in 2023, established a theme cafe, Cafe Strega, in Pangyo, and carried out various activities to take a leap forward, such as continuously participating in the AGF. And on the 22nd, the story of Season 3 concluded with the update of Ep15 'The Golden Tree and the Girl Pruning'.
