Nexon's 'Vindictus: Defying Fate' revealed key feedback after the first FGT. FGT was centered around offline testing in Korea, and global media and creators were also able to play in an online environment based on the same build.

The development team stated that the main purpose of this test was to evaluate the combat system, which has been continuously improved since the alpha test, and that FGT was conducted to obtain more focused testing and dense feedback.

Combat is the core content of Vindictus, and many opinions were raised during the alpha test. The development team quickly refined the overall battle to show the game's unique actions while referring to feedback at the time, and tried to verify that direction through FGT. Additionally, additional improvements were identified by comparing the experiences of users who had previously experienced the game with those who were playing for the first time.

There are three main items verified in this FGT: improved control and hitting, player-led lively action, and combat learning and guide. In the case of the feeling of operation and hitting, which received a lot of feedback during the alpha test, we strengthened the feel of the hand during the attack and defense process to improve it.

Some enemy patterns were adjusted to allow players to experience that they were in charge of the action, and clear rewards were provided or complementary actions were provided when reacting at the correct timing. In addition, learning-related devices have been strengthened so that even first-time users can feel interested in character actions.

The test consisted of playing each area sequentially according to the route, from the tutorial to the Northern Ruins and Ice Valley, and boss monsters included everything from Sharptooth that appeared in the alpha test to Chimpu Immurk. In this build, the battle balance of all monsters has been modified, and attacks that cannot be avoided or guarded by boss monsters have been deleted.

The Korean offline test was conducted for users who had experience in the alpha test of ‘Vindictus: Defying Fate’ and users who were new to the game itself but had extensive experience playing similar or different genres such as casual action and MMORPG.

The most notable part of the survey results after the end of FGT is that overall satisfaction and combat satisfaction have increased compared to the alpha test. Users who experienced the alpha test showed satisfaction with enemy pattern response elements such as precision actions. On the other hand, the group that played the game for the first time expressed the opinion that the initial adaptation elements such as combat tutorials and guides, path finding, and camera operation were disappointing.

However, users who played for the first time also responded that they were satisfied with the improved hitting feeling. The satisfaction rate by item was 84% for character action production, 82% for finishing action, 78% for understanding the combat mechanism, 77% for hitting feeling, and 73% for monster action production.

The development team is currently analyzing domestic and international feedback, survey results, and related game data and organizing supplementary matters. As we have confirmed positive responses to the intended direction of the battle, we plan to further refine battles that reflect Vindictus' unique personality in the future. However, we will continue to adjust parts that received disappointing reviews, such as the initial tutorial and guide, and make improvements to avoid inconveniences during future play.

Vindictus said, "We hope that this dev log will resolve some of the questions related to FGT," and added, "The next public test schedule has not yet been confirmed, but we will prepare well to come back with good news."
