The Korean eSports national team joined hands with the global platform Google Play ahead of the Summer Asian Games.
The Korea Esports Association (Chairman Kim Young-man, hereinafter referred to as the Association) announced on the 15th that it has signed an official partnership with Google Play (Google LLC) for the Korean national e-sports team. Under this agreement, Google Play plans to support the overall activities of the national e-sports team participating in the Summer Asian Games (hereinafter referred to as the Asian Games) and take the lead in raising the status of Korean e-sports.
Both companies will carry out multi-faceted marketing activities utilizing national IP (intellectual property rights). In particular, we plan to expand our contact with the public by producing advertising content in which the athletes directly participate in accordance with the national team's official schedule scheduled for this year. In addition, it provides special benefits for Google Play Point membership members, providing a foundation for fans to experience and support the national e-sports team.
Meanwhile, the association has confirmed that the slogan for this national team will be 'See the Unseen / Our national team' and will launch a campaign with partner companies to raise awareness of the national e-sports team. Through this partnership, Google Play has joined the ranks of official sponsors of national esports teams.
To date, official partners of the national esports team include Disney+, Hanwha Life Insurance, Goal Studio, Logitech G, Sidiz, Photo Gray, Busan Metropolitan City, and Revion, as well as Google Play, and representative companies and organizations in each field are participating to support the athletes.
An official from the association said, "The partnership with Google Play, a leader in the global market, will be a great help to our players," and added, "We will do our best to help the national team players demonstrate their best skills and achieve good results in the Asian Games."
