Netmarble (CEO Kim Byeong-gyu) announced that it had implemented its first major update to the open world action RPG ‘Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (developer Netmarble F&C)’ on the 23rd, including adding a new hero ‘Escanor’ and releasing main story Act 13.

The newly joined ‘Escanor’ is a member of the original ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ and is considered one of the strongest characters in the world. He uses the magical power 'Sunshine' and is characterized by a twisted personality, being arrogant and bold during the day but humble at night.

In the game, ‘Escanor’ uses an axe, a great sword, and a sword shield as weapons and shows off exciting actions that inflict burn effects on enemies along with powerful attack power. To commemorate the character's release, Netmarble updated exclusive engraving equipment and the novel 'Bride Rita' from the original work.

Act 13 ‘The Rising Sun Again’ has been added to the main story. It tells the story of Meliodas and Hawk, who realize that they are in the future through the main character Tristan, and while leaving to find their friends, they encounter ‘Galan’ of the Ten Commandments.

In addition, a new area called ‘Beautiful Gluttony Bar’ was introduced. ‘Beautiful Gluttony Tavern’, an unknown space located in the southern part of the Banya Plain, has special products such as new collectibles, cooking ingredients, and minerals, adding to the fun of open world exploration.

‘Galan’ appears as a new boss challenge content. ‘Galan’ periodically grants a ‘taboo’ status to the user, and has a unique gimmick where if a prohibited operation is performed in a taboo situation, the character is petrified and physical strength decreases. In particular, when clearing Hell difficulty, you can obtain ‘Bad Eyes of Madness’, a material for making the legendary weapon ‘Soul Devourer Axe’.

Netmarble is holding a variety of events to commemorate this update. Through the attendance event that will be held until the 13th of next month, you can obtain boarding pet ‘Proud Mustache Hawk’, flying pet ‘Wise Big Hoho’, and ‘Pickup Hero Draw Ticket’. Additionally, an event will be held where players can experience the new hero ‘Escanor’ and receive ‘Star Fragments’ and ‘Highest Mastery EXP’ upon completing the challenge. In addition, content and system improvements were made for returning users.
