The 2026 Korea e-Sports League (KEL) Eternal Return tournament will kick off its Opening Week on the 22nd at the PlayX4 e-sports festival stage, located in Hall 3 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Goyang. Launched last year, the KEL is now in its second year, with a mission to foster regional e-sports talent and strengthen regional competitiveness. Offline matches will be held in collaboration with regional e-sports arenas in Busan, Gwangju, Gyeongnam (Jinju), and Daejeon.

This Eternal Return tournament will feature 64 players from 16 regional teams: GC Busan Stella, Daegu Guardians, Incheon Wave, Gwangju Slasher, Daejeon Autoarms, FN Sejong, Gyeonggi Inate, New Rise Gangwon, Chungnam CNJ e-Sports, Jeonnam e-Sports, Gyeongbuk Ascenders, Gyeongnam Sparkle e-Sports, Jeju Shadow, Goyang Mir, Seongnam ROX, and Yangju Whales.
The tournament schedule begins with the Opening Week, followed by Circuits 1/2, the Mid-Season Cup, Circuits 3/4, and finally the Championship. During the Opening Week, the 16 teams will be divided into Alpha and Omega groups and compete using a sequential checkpoint format. Each Circuit will be held over four days using a dual tournament format; the group stage, winner/loser brackets, and final match for the first three days will use a 6-round point system, while the final on the fourth day will follow the sequential checkpoint format.
The Mid-Season Cup, which determines the winner of the first half, will be held on August 1–2 at the Gwangju e-Sports Arena (Dong-gu, Gwangju) based on cumulative points from Circuits 1 and 2. The Championship, which determines the final winning region, will take place on November 7–8 at the Daejeon e-Sports Arena (Yuseong-gu, Daejeon) based on cumulative points from Circuits 1 through 4. The matches for the bottom 8 teams will use a 6-round point system, while the final will apply the sequential checkpoint format. The total prize pool is 100 million KRW, with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for 1st place, the President of the Korea Creative Content Agency Award for 2nd place, and the President of the Korea e-Sports Association Award for 3rd place.
Admission to the Opening Week is prioritized for holders of the Eternal Return Season 10 e-sports support package, followed by first-come, first-served entry on-site. The broadcast team for Day 1 includes caster Cheonsia and commentators Ibis and Hwangblin, while Day 2 will feature caster Shinil and commentators Nongroot and Kim In-young. Matches will be broadcast live on the official KEL Naver Chzzk, SOOP, and YouTube channels.
The 2026 KEL Eternal Return Opening Week is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and co-organized by the Korea e-Sports Association and Nimble Neuron. Sponsors include Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Content Agency, SK Telecom, Coubraco Charcoal Chicken, Micronics, Class101, and the Korea Creative Content Agency.
