Wemade Max (CEO Son Myun-seok) announced on the 29th that its new mobile subculture RPG, "Make Drama: MAD"—developed by Fluffy Duck (CEO Lee Jung-hoon) and serviced by its subsidiary Wemade Connect (CEO Lee Ho-dae)—has surpassed 500,000 pre-registrations and is set for an official domestic launch on June 4th.
The pre-registration campaign, which began on the 4th of this month via Google Play, the Apple App Store, ONE store, and the official website, exceeded 500,000 participants in approximately 25 days. As a result, all users who pre-registered will receive various items, including the top-tier reward—the 3-star character "Elysia"—as well as character summon tickets and in-game currency to be used after the official launch.
Additionally, the official release date for "Make Drama: MAD" has been confirmed for June 4th, marking its entry into official service about a month after pre-registrations began. The launch version will be rated "Not Available for Youth" (18+) to accommodate its distinct interactive features, game concept, and content scalability. It will first be released on Google Play and ONE store, with plans to expand to the Apple App Store at a later date.
Since the start of pre-registration, "Make Drama: MAD" has been building anticipation among subculture fans by sequentially revealing its character visuals, worldview, and content direction. Notably, the game accelerated the formation of its fandom even before the official launch by hosting an offline booth at the "Illustar Fes" held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 23rd to the 24th, strengthening its connection with users.
Fluffy Duck CEO Lee Jung-hoon stated, "I believe the success of this pre-registration is a result of users resonating with the unique charm and differentiated content of 'Make Drama: MAD'," adding, "We will continue to provide stable service so that users can enjoy the game for a long time after its official launch."
"Make Drama: MAD" is a new subculture RPG where players collect and nurture beautiful girl characters rendered with high-quality illustrations. The illustrator famous for "Snowball" served as the Creative Director, establishing the visual identity for the character designs and the game's worldview.
Furthermore, the game features gameplay that combines emotional storytelling with strategic elements, including a real-time combat system where the flow of battle changes based on user choices and decisions. The liveliness of the characters is further enhanced through animation sequences based on live illustrations. Additionally, the game aims to provide a distinct subculture experience by deepening the interaction between users and characters through touch-response gimmicks and a character bonding system, all centered around character narratives and immersive story content.
