Daewon Media released a teaser video for Forgotten Saga through its official YouTube channel on the 7th. This day's video begins with a computer booting screen appearing on an old CRT monitor screen, and the phrase 'What is your name?' appearing in a classic dialogue window. Afterwards, he asked for the name of his girlfriend, his imaginary girlfriend, and announced a new beginning for the game along with the Forgotten Saga logo.
Forgotten Saga was released in 1997 as Son Nori's new work, which received the most attention in the domestic RPG market along with Softmax of the Genesis War series. After the initial announcement, the release was delayed continuously, and at the time of release, bugs that made the game difficult to play appeared one after another, and it was evaluated as unfinished. Nevertheless, sales continued to increase, and various events along with free party composition were cited as attractive factors that made people continue to play the game.
In fact, the phrase that appeared in the teaser that day was one of the key questions for setting the names of the protagonist and heroine when creating a character at the time. In addition, the high-quality BGM that received favorable reviews can also be seen in the teaser.
Daewon's side also announced that the game would be exhibited at the 2026 Play Expo, saying, "Your story forgotten in legend will be revealed." Game Lab, which is in charge of Daewon Media's game business, publishes games such as Super Detective Case Department Rain Code and Death End Request Code Z, while also participating in game production in collaboration with other game companies.
In particular, in the case of production games, many classic IP titles that were loved by fans in the past were introduced, starting with Snow Brothers, Hwansechwihojeon+, and Fortress S. Last year, Sonnori's previous work, Astonisia Story, was released.
The 2026 Play Expo, where you can see the first look of the Forgotten Saga, opens at KINTEX on May 21. Detailed information about the game and release-related information are expected to be revealed through the event.
