Nexon announced on the 28th that it has launched the "Season 39: Beach" update for its mobile racing game, KartRider Rush+.
This update introduces a wide array of new beach-themed content and items, centered around the thrill of racing across blue waves.
First, two new highlight karts, Aqua Beetle and Ignis Beetle, have been unveiled, along with four new item karts: Unicorn Tube, ApoApo, Seaplane, and Thunder Off-Road. A new track, Ice Fearful Halfpipe, has been added, with Forest Vine Forest Cloud Bridge scheduled for release on June 12th. Additionally, players can meet four new characters—Draki, Sea Witch Iryeong, Shark Uni, and Sailor Tiera—as well as the Petit Princess flying pet and the Flamingo pet.
A new content feature for top-tier players, the "Pro License," has also been officially added. The Pro License consists of basic missions, which include high-difficulty tasks from the existing L2 and L1 licenses along with new missions, and advanced missions that evaluate skill using only practice karts. It is strictly operated on a temporary basis for up to 180 days.
The validity period is renewed each time both types of missions are cleared; failure to renew within the period results in a demotion to L1. Conversely, the difficulty of existing licenses has been lowered based on actual player challenge records, and elements like the "Great King" test have been removed to lower the overall barrier to entry. Furthermore, the potential system has been changed from a level-based system to one unlocked based on held licenses, significantly enhancing the benefits of holding higher-tier licenses.
The "Ultimate League," a ranked mode for players at the Master tier or higher, has also been introduced. "Ultimate Item," played as a 3v3 item race, features a ban system where both teams can ban one kart from the opposing team, allowing for more sophisticated strategic play. "Ultimate Speed" is an 8-player speed race where players can choose to secure their ranking points after a win or challenge for up to four consecutive victories to aim for massive bonus points.
To celebrate this major update, Nexon is hosting various events offering rewards and benefits. From May 28th to July 22nd, players can use Season Coins in the Season Exchange to obtain items such as the permanent Thunder Off-Road, and batteries will be awarded at each stage upon completing Pro License missions.
In addition, a variety of other events will be held, including buffs for increased wish counts, bonus points for weekend ranked matches, and a Rush Farm level-up support project. Meanwhile, on June 1st, the company plans to provide players with unique enjoyment through collaboration content with hy, the leading probiotic company.
