CFK (CEO: Koo Chang-sik) announced today (14th) that the global release date for Steam and Stove for 'Shikhondo: Blue Pieta', a new fantasy bullet hell shooting game developed by domestic indie developer DeerFarm, will be May 18, 2026 (Monday).
'Shikhondo: Blue Pieta' is the sequel to 'Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage', released on Steam in 2024 and Nintendo Switch in 2025. Adopting the side-scrolling method for the first time in the series, the stage is moved across the sea to a foreign metropolis to tell a new story where the two main characters meet.
Against the backdrop of carefully depicted modern spaces such as big cities, amusement parks, and subway stations, fantastical beings from foreign folk tales appear as powerful new enemies. The story is vividly conveyed with full voices from luxurious voice actors, and supports up to 32:9 ultra wide monitors.
● ‘Shikhondo: Blue Pieta’ game system
- The first side-scrolling bullet hell shooting in the series
'Shikhondo: Blue Pieta' breaks away from the vertical scrolling system of previous works and adopts a horizontal scrolling system for the first time in the series. You can enjoy the death-fight of the two main characters from a new perspective, and it presents bullet hell action unique to the 'Shikhondo' series, unfolding from a side-scrolling perspective.
- A story set in a foreign city
Against the backdrop of carefully depicted modern spaces such as big cities, amusement parks, and subway stations, fantastical beings from foreign folk tales appear as powerful new enemies. The story of the two main characters is vividly told in full voice by luxurious voice actors.
- The ‘Soul Collect’ system has evolved and returned
The Soul Collect system, which was well-received in the previous work 'Shikhondo: Hundred Flowers', evolves and returns in 'Shikhondo: Blue Pieta'. When you get close to an enemy bullet, the soul gauge is charged, and when the gauge is full, you can activate soul collect mode. When activated, all bullets on the screen are converted into point items and the points earned are doubled.
If you have any bombs left, you can consume them to enter the second Soul Collect mode, in which case your score is quadrupled and your normal attacks are further strengthened. It is a high risk, high return system that becomes stronger the closer you get to danger.
- ‘Counter Bomb’ system
The newly added ‘Counter Bomb’ is a system that turns the moment of attack into an opportunity for a comeback. The moment the user takes damage, a sparkling effect is activated, and if you press the ‘bomb’ button within 8 frames from this moment, you can activate soul collect mode or consume a bomb without taking damage.
However, the soul gauge must be full or there must be bombs remaining.
'Shikhondo: Blue Pieta' is scheduled to be released globally on Steam and Stove on Monday, May 18, 2026. If you add it to your wishlist right now, you will be notified immediately when it is released, and you can also check out the latest news through the game's store page. After the release of Steam and Stove, we plan to expand the release area to various console platforms such as Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.
