Creative Assembly's grand strategy simulation 'Total War: WARHAMMER III' is receiving a new DLC that introduces a massive influx of new units for the 'Cathay' faction: the 'Tiger Warriors.' True to a series known for its unique themes—ranging from three-headed elves and dinosaurs riding dinosaurs to mechanical Guan Yu-inspired bots—the roster of units being added this time showcases an equally impressive level of fantasy.
The core of this DLC is 'White Tiger Bashiba' and the Tiger Warriors who follow her. 'Bashiba' is a warrior-type Legendary Lord with a combined melee attack and defense stat of 115, specializing in anti-infantry combat with fire-based melee attacks. Equipped with abilities like 'Hidden Huntress,' which reduces enemy movement speed and defense for a set duration, and 'Celestial Gate,' which allows for short-range teleportation, she is expected to excel at sniping enemy infantry lords and heroes.

As a generic Lord, the 'Tiger Warrior Sawai' is being added. He is a melee specialist with anti-large and armor-piercing capabilities, appearing even sturdier than Bashiba on paper. Additionally, the 'Claw-Speaker,' a hero unit capable of using Lore of Life magic while maintaining respectable melee performance with a combined attack and defense stat of over 80, will be added as a common hero for Cathay.
The 'Tiger Warriors,' which form the backbone of the new units, have been introduced as infantry with 80 models rather than monstrous infantry. Their base variant is a shock infantry unit armed with dual axes, specialized in anti-infantry combat. The 'Tiger Warrior Trackers' are infantry equipped with chakrams as ranged weapons; they possess excellent melee performance and, notably, the ability to fire while moving. However, they are limited to only two pieces of ammunition, have 15 armor, and a smaller unit size of 60. The final variant of the Tiger Warriors is the 'Steel-Claw Tiger Warrior,' which boasts 60 armor. Armed with a weapon called a 'Guan Dao,' they serve as an anti-large unit with high combined attack and defense, leadership, and armor-piercing capabilities.

'Bashiba's' faction-specific mechanics have also been revealed. In line with the concept that Bashiba and the Tiger Warriors are loyal to the Iron Dragon Zhao Ming, they can acquire 'Favor of the Iron Dragon' as a faction resource, which can be used to unlock new unit types or summon additional reinforcements. Furthermore, players can collect various artifacts via the 'Ivory Road,' similar to trade routes, and manage the faction's development through the 'Tiger Court.'
In addition, a free FLC (Free Downloadable Content) will be added, available even to those who do not purchase the DLC: the common Legendary Hero for Cathay, 'Merciless Taoyan.' Taoyan is a female hero wielding a trident, expected to perform well against enemy monsters or lords due to her high combined attack and defense, anti-large attributes, and magical attacks.
The 'Bashiba' Character Pack DLC will be released on May 21st.
