'In this event in particular, we are planning a Pick-Up Recruitment for a character you haven't seen in quite a while, and one that many Commanders will be happy to see again.'
This is a teaser for a large-scale, three-week event taking place in June. Since it is a high-end event featuring a dedicated field and full voice acting, there is already a lot of speculation about which squad will take center stage. Which squad will take the spotlight? I’ve looked into a few squads that are likely to appear.
#. Hammer & Drill : Hammering, Drilling
In a way, they might be the most missed duo at the moment: Hammering and Drilling. These two Nikkes left a strong impression with their performance during the Cinderella episode. They retired temporarily due to severe injuries, but since there have been some hints about their return, I’m sure many users are waiting for them.
#. Matis : Laplace, Drake, Maxwell
Matis is Missilis' top-tier force. They are the squad most frequently involved with the Counters in the main story. With their high narrative importance and individual character appeal, they are a very popular squad. In particular, Matis has already received power-ups through alternate versions, leaving only their official release left. Many users even find it strange that they haven't been released yet.
#. Mighty Tools : Liter, Centi
In collection-based RPGs like NIKKE, power creep is inevitable. Liter of the Mighty Tools held the throne as the undisputed Burst 1 queen for quite a long time. She also gained immense popularity for her unique personality and cute character design. While many other Nikkes have been pushed aside by power creep only to receive alternate versions or Treasures to get a power-up, Liter has notably received no such care.
Because Liter was so beloved, if she were to be the star of this event, I’m sure many would welcome her return with open arms.
#. Unlimited : Alice, Ludmilla, Tove, Neve
Unlimited consists of Alice, Ludmilla, Tove, and Neve. They were active alongside the Counters in the early main story, but haven't been featured much since. While Tove has appeared in summer events and is frequently used due to her strong performance, the other Nikkes have essentially been forgotten. Especially since so many users consider Alice their favorite, there are likely many fans waiting for the Unlimited squad.
#. Talents : Rupee, Yan, Dolla
In some ways, Talents feels similar to Unlimited. Rupee, a member of Talents, left a strong impression through her high performance and the "MIRACLE SNOW" event, which is still considered one of the best story events to date. However, she hasn't been featured much since, and has now become a Nikke you mostly only see in the shop.
This event is said to feature a dedicated 3D field. If the event has a shop-district theme, it would fit the Talents squad perfectly.
#. Happy Zoo : Biscuit, Nero, Leona
The reappearance of the Happy Zoo squad is also worth looking forward to. While Happy Zoo isn't a squad deeply involved in the main story, they have a solid fan base due to their "animal" concept. Nero's story, in particular, tugged at the heartstrings of many Commanders. If the June event has a zoo theme, there would be no better squad to feature than Happy Zoo.
