Nexon Foundation (Chairman Kim Jeong-wook) announced on the 30th that in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of ‘The Kingdom of the Winds’, it will launch the ‘Borderless Craft Edition – Irip’s Wind, Continuing the Tradition’ project to support the works and exhibition activities of emerging traditional craft artists.

Nexon will begin producing traditional craft works using the Kingdom of the Winds IP through collaboration with emerging traditional artists. This activity is part of Nexon's culture and arts support project, 'BORDERLESS', and contains the meaning that the Kingdom of the Wind, which was born under the influence of Korean traditional culture and has continued its service for 30 years, supports new artists who continue the legacy of Korean traditional culture.

To this end, a screening was conducted among students enrolled in the Department of Traditional Arts and Crafts at the Korea University of Cultural Heritage and qualified for the field of traditional crafts, such as national heritage repair technicians and technicians, and national intangible heritage graduates, and a total of 5 teams were selected. The produced traditional craft works will be displayed in an external space in September.

To facilitate the smooth work of new artists, the Nexon Foundation donated 45 million won to Korea University of Traditional Culture. On this day, the handover ceremony held at the executive residence of Chosun Savings Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul was attended by officials from both sides, including Nexon Foundation Chairman Kim Jeong-wook and Korea University of Cultural Heritage President Kang Kyung-hwan.

In addition, Nexon executives and employees also participated in donations to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Kingdom of the Winds. On the 7th and 8th, Nexon held the ‘Buyeo Women’s Rampage’ event in the lobby of the Pangyo building and operated an experience zone and donation market based on the concept of Buyeoseong in the Kingdom of the Winds. A total of 22.18 million won in donations raised through the voluntary participation of executives and employees will be used for this borderless project.

Kim Jeong-wook, Chairman of the Nexon Foundation, said, “To meaningfully celebrate the 30th anniversary of the service of the Kingdom of the Winds, which was born based on Korea’s traditional culture, we have planned a social contribution activity to support new artists.” He added, “We will continue to support the creative activities of artists who continue the values of traditional culture so that they can reach more people.”
Meanwhile, Nexon's Borderless Business is a social contribution project that provides Nexon game IP to creators so that they can use games as a source of artistic inspiration, and supports more people to enjoy the new and diverse works created through this.
