Some Project Zomboid Stealthy gameplay is encouraged in game mode, but there may be times during play when you will need to attack the undead. However, if you're playing the game for the first time, it can be quite confusing. Project Zomboid allows you to push zombies away, which is especially useful when fighting through large hordes. However, the stronger your character, the easier it is to push the zombies away. This can be achieved by using talents, clever class skills, or training your character.

To push a zombie away, hold down the right mouse button and approach the zombie during combat. You can then push the zombies away by pressing the spacebar.

You can push the monster away or drop it to the ground, or you can keep attacking the monster on the ground (while giving it space) and step on its head if you get close enough. This will stop the monster from coming back to life and chasing you.

Melee attacks using weapons are This can be dangerous because it allows you to get closer to your target, but it can also cause much more damage. When using a weapon such as a knife, it is recommended to move stealthily by pressing the C button to utilize a surprise attack.
