현재 공개된 스타크래프트 맵에디터 확장 프로그램 중에 가장 기능이 강력한 Starcraft X-Tra Editor의 최신판인 2.5 버전입니다. 이제는 Camelot Systems의 공식 프로그램이 되어서 더욱 더 기세를 탈 것 같습니다.

2.5 버전에서는 비공개 버전이었던 2.2 ~ 2.4 버전까지의 모든 오류들을 수정하고 Launch Wizard를 추가하였습니다. 자세한 것은 아래의 버전 문서를 참조하시기 바랍니다.

- Launch Wizard added:
- 메뉴나, 프로그램 화면의 그림이나,트레이 아이콘에서 모든 모드를 메뉴에서 실행 가능합니다.
- 최대 3개의 사용자 플러그인 프로그램을 지정가능합니다.
- Launch Wizard 설정을 설치시에 INI 파일의 형태로 사용 가능합니다(?).
- 색 글자, 오버랩핑 글자 목록을 모든 텍스트 편집이 가능한 대화상자에 넣었습니다.

Version 2.4 (미공개)
- 텍스트 편집 대화 상자를 업그레이드 : 색 글자와 오버랩핑 글자 목록을 추가했습니다.
- File 메뉴에 맵 파일을 CHK 형식으로 저장하는 Saving as CHK-file 을 추가했습니다.

Version 2.3 (미공개)
- MPQ 형식 저장 기능을 넣었습니다.
- StarCraft X-tra Editor가 Camelot Systems의 공식 프로그램이 되었습니다.
그에 따라 시작시 나타나는 타이틀 화면을 수정하였습니다.
- 숨겨진 메뉴들을 일반 테스트 메뉴로 바꾸었습니다.

버전 2.2 (미공개)
- 영문 Alternative 버전의 스타트 로케이션 버그를 수정하였습니다.
- 맵에디터의 숨겨진 메뉴 일부를 접근 가능하게 하였습니다.

- Comfortable starting of all modes by menu, picture or context menu from the systray
- Allows the plugin for three programs (maximum)
- Usage of the INI-file that is created during the installation process for the setting in the Launch Wizard.
- Textcolor editing is now avaible in every textediting dialog (including forces)

- Text editing dialogs advanced: Now you can choose the marks for textcolor and overlapping directly in the dialogs
