Balancing Monkey Games is an independent game development studio based in Dunedin (Ōtepoti), Aotearoa New Zealand. We create award-winning games that aim to relax and entertain our players while building a positive and uplifting community that reflects our ideals.

History
2017Sam Barham founded Balancing Monkey Games and began developing their first game, Before We Leave.
2020Before We Leave was released exclusively on the Epic Games Store, and Anna Barham joined as Managing Director.
2021Partnered with Team17 to release Before We Leave on Steam, followed by Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
