Adventure International (UK) was a British video game developer and publisher, initially formed to convert and distribute games from the US-based Adventure International for the UK market. The company later developed its own original text adventure titles, including licensed games.
History
1983Mike Woodroffe licensed the Adventure International name from Scott Adams, establishing Adventure International (UK) to convert and distribute US adventure games in the UK.
1985The company began developing its own games, with "Gremlins – The Adventure" being a notable early success.
1986Following the bankruptcy of the original US Adventure International, the UK entity rebranded as Adventuresoft UK.
