Argus Press Software was the software division of the British publishing company Argus Press, active in the 1980s. It published games for various home computer systems and acquired other software houses like Quicksilva and Bug-Byte.
History
1966The parent company, Argus Press, was acquired by British Electric Traction (BET).
1983Argus Specialist Publication Software (ASP Software), a division of Argus Press, released its first strategy game, "Strategy 1: Invasion".
1984ASP Software was renamed Argus Press Software and acquired Quicksilva and Starcade.
1985Acquired Bug-Byte.
1987Argus Press Software was purchased by its managing director, Stephen Hall, and renamed Grandslam Entertainment.
