Spot is a puzzle game based on the licensed mascot from the 7-Up soft drink brand. Up to four players (or one to four players in various home versions) each take control of a colour-coded piece and compete on a grid. The goal is to dominate the board by converting opponent pieces through movement and adjacency. Players begin with their pieces placed in opposite corners of the board. On their turn a player may either replicate a piece by moving one square away into an empty space and leaving the original piece, or jump a piece two squares away into an empty space (losing the original piece). After the move, any opponent’s pieces adjacent to the destination are converted to the moving player’s colour. Play continues until all squares are filled or one player has no pieces; the winner is the player with the most pieces remaining.

Detailed Description

A computerized Keno game designed by Larry Hatch and published by Reston Publishing Company, Inc. as a type-in in their book "25 Advanced Games for the Commodore 64". At the beginning, the player selects from two to a maximum of nine digits in the range 1-80. After the selection, a card with the underlined, selected digits will appear and the computer will draw 20 digits. On hitting five digits out of nine, the player wins $3, and each draw costs $1. The more hits, the higher the winnings. The win rate increases the fewer digits the player chooses at the beginning of the game.
