Aladdin
Aladdin is a text adventure game based loosely on the tale from One Thousand and One Nights. The player assumes the role of Aladdin, a young boy living with the widow Twanky near the Sultan's palace. The story begins when a mysterious magician appears, requesting Aladdin retrieve an old lamp from a nearby cave. Suspicious of the magician's motives, Aladdin chooses to explore the caves on his own. Gameplay involves entering two-word text commands such as "GET LAMP" or "GO NORTH" to control Aladdin’s actions. The game includes navigation through various locations, interactions with characters and the collection and use of items. Puzzles must be solved to advance, and certain actions can lead to failure or death, prompting restarts. The game uses colored text for narrative and instructions.
