Krafton Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Chang-han) conducted a large-scale update to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the survival life simulation game ‘Dinkum’ on Steam and launched the Nintendo Switch 2 edition along with it.

In this update applied to the Steam version, a new area ‘The Great Bite’ has been opened. The island's climbable cliffs and new vegetation create a colorful natural landscape. In addition, when power is supplied to lighthouses scattered throughout the area, the location of nearby treasures is displayed on the map, providing fresh exploration fun. In addition, various contents such as decorative elements, encyclopedia, and vehicles were added.

User convenience and decoration features have also been enhanced. You can now easily call a vehicle from anywhere, and the ability to attach accessories to your face and the ‘Stylish Backpack Custom’ system, which allows you to change the appearance of the backpack, have been added to support more unique character creation.

In-game events and special promotions will also be held to commemorate the first anniversary of Steam service. First, if you sell the fish you catch at ‘John’s General Store’ in the Steam version by the 7th of next month, you will receive a commemorative ticket that can be exchanged for a limited item. In addition, to allow more users to enjoy Dingcom, a simultaneous discount event will be held for Steam and Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2, and the game will be introduced at a 20% lower price than before.

Meanwhile, Krafton has officially started selling the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of ‘Dincom’. Users who own the existing Nintendo Switch version can download the upgrade pass for free and continue playing on a new device. In the case of the Nintendo Switch version, you can fully enjoy the ‘Animal Tracks’ update content, which previously received rave reviews on Steam.

Developer James Bendon said, “I have grown up playing Nintendo games since I was a child, and it has been a lifelong dream for me to have a game I created appear on store shelves as a Nintendo package.” He continued, “The creative play that users have shown so far has stimulated inspiration and become the driving force to continue development,” and added, “As long as there are users who enjoy Dinkum, we will continue to expand this world in the future.”
