Keen Games announced on the 23rd that it has released ‘Pave the Path’, the last large-scale update in the early access phase of the open world survival action game ‘Insured’ that it services.
Created based on player feedback, ‘Pave the Path’ has had the deepest changes since launch, including system overhauls across the entire game, including combat, growth, beginner experience, crafting, construction, and social features.
First, the battle system was completely revamped and the weapon special ability ‘Focus Gauge’ was introduced, and the strategy and sense of hitting were greatly enhanced through the reposting system and two-handed weapon rework.
In addition, the enemy's alert mechanism has been improved to respond step by step from alert to active search to full-scale combat, and the wand's range and durability have been increased, and the explosion radius of the beginner fireball has been expanded.
In addition, skills can be leveled up after unlocking, allowing you to focus on investing in core abilities and lowering the basic unlocking cost, allowing you to complete important skill trees more quickly. The skill tree has also become freer to form mixed builds as the connection paths between classes have increased.
In addition, you can unlock new perks that fit your play style and upgrade armor, shields, wards, and rings with runes, making hunting easier than before.
The ‘Adventure Sharing’ function, which was highly requested by the community, has also been newly added, allowing users to upload their own world or download and explore other users’ content through a dedicated hub.
You can also take screenshots of bases within the game using the camera items that can be produced, and the logic system, interactive elements, puzzles, enemy creation, traps, etc. will be updated in the future.
Ahead of the 1.0 update, the initial experience has been improved overall, and the tutorial and starting area have been redesigned so you can learn core content more naturally.
In particular, the convenience of quest logs, production systems, and item set functions has been improved, and the construction system has been extensively revised, greatly improving material management and construction efficiency using magic boxes.
Creative Director Antony Christoulakis said, “This update focuses on the voices of the community to deepen the combat experience and lay the foundation for sharing creations. During the early access period, we went through a total of 8 large-scale updates, 13 patches, and 36 hot patches, and we will continue to provide support even after the official release of 1.0.”
‘Pave the Path’ is the last major update in the early access stage and is expected to further enhance the game’s completeness ahead of the 1.0 full version and console release scheduled for this fall.
‘Insured’ has been enjoyed by more than 5 million players around the world since the launch of the Steam pre-experience version in January 2024, and more detailed information can be found on the game’s official website and X (formerly Twitter).
