Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea released the Korean version of 'Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn Edition' for Nintendo Switch 2 on the 21st. This edition includes the base game 'Tales of Arise', the additional scenario 'Beyond the Dawn', and extra quests centered on the protagonist and the heroine.
'Tales of Arise' is an action RPG centered on themes of 300 years of oppression, mysterious masks, and lost memories and pain. The story follows Alphen, a protagonist who has lost his sense of pain, as he becomes the wielder of the Flaming Sword. Alongside a girl cursed by "Thorns" that cause pain to anyone she touches, and their companions, he fights against the oppressors. Set in a world devastated by invaders from another planet, the journey depicts the struggle to liberate the people from cruel rule and break the girl's curse.
Combat is based on distinct battle styles for each character. The core of the action system involves using special attacks and chaining combos tailored to the enemy's characteristics and the flow of battle. The additional scenario 'Beyond the Dawn' is an epilogue set one year after the main story, and it includes additional quests, costumes, and items.
In addition to the base game available in both physical and digital versions, a digital-only 'Premium Edition' is also available. The Premium Edition bundles the base game and 'Beyond the Dawn' with the Premium Upgrade Pack, which includes costumes, hairstyles, weapons, attachments, items, level-ups, and Gald. Separate DLCs are also available, including the Premium Upgrade Pack, Arranged BGM Pack, Travel Premium Pack, Starter Pack, Item/Costume Premium Pack, and Collaboration Costume Pack.
A 'Sword Art Online Alicization' collaboration pack is also provided. It includes the Jet-Black Coat and Swordsman's Natural Hair for Alphen, the Equipment of the Goddess of Creation and Noble Ponytail for Shionne, and the Integrity Knight Uniform and Integrity Knight's Ash Hair for Law. The exclusive quest 'Centoria Swordplay Battle' can be enjoyed at the Training Grounds. Depending on game progress, there may be certain segments where collaboration battles cannot be initiated.
