There is an 'honor system' in the martial arts action game 'Phantom Blade Zero' being developed by S-GAME.
This information was confirmed in a developer interview video released on the Phantom Blade Official X (formerly Twitter) on the 16th. S-GAME CEO Soulframe Liang stated in the video that choices made in side quests can have a significant impact on the main story line.
CEO Liang said, "Phantom Blade Zero is composed of 'wu', which means martial arts, and 'hyeop', which means inner righteousness." He explained that while 'mu' is the external expression through battle, 'hyeop' symbolizes the protagonist's inner self who cares for others. He also mentioned that the protagonist will travel around various places and meet other people, and will be able to choose what to do with them.
He emphasized, "One thing I can say for sure is that helping others can have a butterfly effect. If the player acts honorably, it will definitely affect the protagonist's revenge and love story in the main storyline."
Meanwhile, 'Phantom Blade Zero' is a martial arts action game being developed by S-GAME using Unreal Engine 5. It has been confirmed to be released on September 9, 2026, and has a synopsis in which a mortally wounded swordsman uses the 66 days remaining to uncover the martial arts' grand conspiracy on the run of death, proves his martial arts skills in the chaos of a breakdown in discipline, and regains his self and truth.
