The Battle of the Three Kingdoms series presented by UserJoy Technology based on Luo Guanzhong's novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The fighting game 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Fighting Edition' using that IP will be conducting its second demo test from April 30th to May 5th.
'Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Fighting Edition' is a game that reminds us of 'Three Kingdoms Warriors', a fighting game released by Koei in 1997. The thing to note here is that it is ‘Three Kingdoms Warriors’ released in 1997, not the ‘True Three Kingdoms Warriors’ series. As a fighting game, the biggest feature of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Fighting Edition' is the numerous heroes representing the Three Kingdoms and the weapons paired with them.
Unlike typical fighting games, the core of ‘Three Kingdoms Battle: Battle Edition’ is the weapon. Each character can be equipped with two different weapons, including an axe, sword, halberd, spear, and iron sword, and can be freely replaced at any time during battle. Since each weapon provides different ranges, attack speeds, and combos, you can use these to build your own combo or play strategically by responding to your opponent's weapon.
Another feature of ‘Three Kingdoms: Fighting Edition’ is the low barrier to entry. Flashy and dynamic combos can be performed without complex command input, so even players who are not familiar with fighting games can enjoy it easily and conveniently. However, just because it is highly accessible does not mean that the depth of the game is shallow. The 3D side-view battle system allows free side movement, and faithfully embodies the depth of defense and defense unique to fighting games.
Through this second demo test, you can experience three types of content: training mode, story mode, and online match. You can also experience the guard break system, which does not recover if the weapon is destroyed during battle. Detailed information regarding the second demo test can be found on the Steam store page.
